What do you guys think is a better idea for removing paint off of a frame.
Paint stripper
or
wet and dry (sand paper)
When i done my frame i just used wet and dry sand paper.
It worked well so i would just use that and paint striper makes alot of mess as ive seen a couple of friends do haha funny times.
wet and dry takes to long to "remove" paint but it is the best way to get a dull surface for the new paint to stick to.
aiight thanks alot fellas, soon painting new frame Tt2
be sure to post um some pictures. if you wanted to you could a paint ur frame thread and i would sticky it for you pm me about it.
Just make sure to cover everything back up if it's a steel frame - Mr. Rust doesn't need a second invitation to strike!

On the other hand, with aluminium or titanium it has sacrificial corrosion so paint isn't important (except for colour, of course!) Wink
Sand blasting is the best if you can afford the extra money.
im not 100% sure but, i heard that sand blasting was illegal? Wacko

What is the frame madeout of because ive been told by other people that you can not get aluminum frames sand blasted as it is wheely bad for the frame and makes it weaker.
