What does it mean when there is always greese around the top of the crown (single crown) and the bottom of the headset. I wipe it but it keeps coming back. I dont think it is a major but i thought i had better check.
Hmm the only thing i can think of is that someone had loaded it will a massive amount of grease when they put it together.
Probably that you put too much in.
A bike shop did it (well i did it but i took it in for a service and they said i had done it wrong (which i dont think i had, i think they just needed an excuse to charge me more) so they refitted them)
Go back to them and tell them the problem and see what they say.
If they are no help then go to a different bike shop and get them to have alook at it.
that way you should be able to find out whats happening.
all i can think of is that the grease is melting it has happened to me as well but i just let it go
