Where is link

How to get there

Once you get onto gap creek road (see the wheris link) keep driving along until you see a dirt car park on your left. Bronwyns can be reached from the carpark however there is also a road close to the trail.

Trails Description

Gap creek reserve is the closest cross country location to Brisbane. Built by the Gap Creek Trails alliance and Roadie Rob this location has a wide range of easy cross country trails with some interesting features.

Recently a new trail called Bronwyn’s has been built at gap creek reserve. This trail is a more advanced mountain bike trail than the others and is a great sign of things to come at Gap creek. This trail has some great features like a North Shore drop and a huge wooden berm. This is a great trail and is one that everyone should ride at gap creek.

The new beginners mountain bike trail at gap creek has been finished. This trail has been professionally designed by MV Australia and it is awesome. To get to the trail from the car park you cruise along the new multipurpose trail opposite the carpark. Head up the first singletrack on the left and ride along that until you reach an area where a bunch of trails meet. Head left again and climb up an easy singletrack with plenty of berms. Once you hit the fireroad turn left and climb until you reach the road. Head right on the singletrack next to the road and you reach the trail head.

Pedal hard along a smooth straight and dive into the first of many awesome berms. Take the high line on the left and this corner is easy. The trail then flows through rain forest through perfect berms. The trail has a few wide sections with interesting line choices. Most of these have rock armoring. Going arond is slow and requires brakes. Float over these sections and the trail is easy. The trail ends up at the singletrack you climbed up earlier on. This makes it easy to do the track again. Some people enjoy doing the loop the other way. This is fun but remember to watch out for riders coming down because most of the corners are blind and the descending rider wont be able to stop for you.

There are regular trail maintenance sessions at gap creek. Check out http://www.gcta.asn.au or http://www.mtbdirt.com.au

The next location I am going to check out is Daisy Hill. If you have any pictures of Daisy hill or any other venue send them to mikey@wheel-world.net
