This i how i get my brake pads back up to scratch if they get polished.

First i remove the pads, then i rub them on the road in a figure 8 pattern (make sure its in a figure 8 otherwise it wont reli help) then i rub a bit of baby powder on them (this prevent squeeling) and go down a hill a few times with the breaks on. I know of heaps of other ways but i find this the easyest and most effective.

What type of breaks can this be dont for.. Just v-break bads, disk break pads (hydro or cable) or any break pads??

Sorry i should have added this in. It is for disk brake pads.

I wouldn't advise that. Concrete is generally very rough and will create uneven surfacing on the pad surface. If you do this on a bitumen road, you may contaminate your pad with tar due.

Much safer method. If you simply want to 'unglaze' them, just get some fine sandpaper and sand them.

Also, I changed your thread title to read 'brake', not 'bake' haha.
