Big Grin  My New STP Zero!

I just picked up my new 07 STP zero.
I got the bike from South Tweed Bicycle Centre which is a fair way from north side Brisbane where I live because these guys were the only bike store with the 07 ones left within a couple of hundred km. If you want one they have a 13.5" one left. I chose a 07 one over an 08 one because of the pikes and juicy fives which were both being down speced (in my opinion) for 2008). It would have been cheaper to get a 2008 model to but it was worth the extra as the pikes are a real highlight. I chose the STP Zero because of the excellent value mainly, I wanted a fairly top spec street bike and the stp zero had the same specs as most of the other bikes in that category but $1000 cheaper so I wheely didn’t have any other options. I know STP's cop a fair bit of flack (and I still roll my eyes at the masses of ss stp2's) but the bike feels soo good! The only thing I can fault with it is the rims. Don’t get me wrong, they are great rims for the price and all but I just don’t feel they match the high spec of the rest of the components. Having said this I haven’t managed to buckle them yet so maybe they aren’t all bad.

Use: Street/4X. Maby a bit of DJ.

Upgrades: None as yet, I will put grippyer tires on though and possibly new rims down the track. I was going to put some higher bars on but the Eastons are actually pretty high already.

Spec:

Frame: 07 14.5" Giant STP Frame
Fork: Rockshox Pike 409
Drive train: Sram X7
Brakes: Avid juicy 5
Rims: Sun Rhino lite XL
Chain Guide: E13 SRS
Bars: Easton EA50
