Kurrajong Grass Karts
Pylet has been building the Kurrajong grass karts site (about 1 hour out of Sydney) into a MTB park. already constructed is:
the 'uber kicker' a kicker that is 10m 40cm long........ at lip is 188cm high.... woodwork is 60cm wide.... and its as solid as a rock... 3 people standing on the last 1m of it swaying and maybe 1cm of movement... literally! it took two days to construct, brett alone on day 1, dave brett and i on day two. on first attempt dave landed 55foot from the lip.. it was awesome to see
here is a video put together by Brett 'coner', Rider is Dave 'hardcore' and i helped with the filming: movie
---------------------------
Kakoda Track. This track starts off with a solid hip or a hard berm to the right. then your into the forest. The track winds its way down a valley and conists of a switchback, several small jumps, few small drops, 2 bridges, heaps of berms and is all under the cool shade of the trees overhead the whole time. The track is that lovely soft dirt you get up at mt coramba and has hardly a rock in it so it is just smoothe riding.... that is until you hit the offcamber, root covered corners and large slippery rocks!
there is something to test almost everyone at this track and its gonna be a fun packed fast race day on the 27th of may when WSMTB is holding the first race there!
pics there is some pics of whats been happening at the site, go to pages 5 and 6 too see pics of the Kakoda track
ALSO: the best thing that i havent mentioned yet.... there is the cable tow for riders to use! so no shuttling! just a short 1m tow to the top, how good is that!
if there is any further questions feel free to post here or in the original post on farkin here and if you can lend a hand please contact pyley on farkin or sign up to the pylet.com forums .. any help is much apprechated but we need to know if your coming!
